However, not all is lost, as the year 2010 should see a reversal of the trend with a rise of 9.5% and 5% predicted for the office space and retail sector respectively.

The head of research at BNP Paribas Keith Steventon believes these dropping valuations should woo buyers who will be eager to capitalize on the situation and acquire desk space to rent.
