Poker is game played by all types of people including some US presidents, such as Barack Obama, Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhower. Richard Nixon, who was elected in 1968, claimed to have won enough money at poker online to fund some of his political campaigns. Another famous individual who gives some credit to poker for his road to success is Microsoft founder, Bill Gates. He played marathon sessions of the game while he was a student at Harvard University. In his autobiography, The Road Ahead, Gates says: “In online poker, a player collects different information - who’s betting boldly, what cards are showing, what this guy’s pattern of betting and bluffing is - and then crunches all that data together to devise a plan for his own hand. I got pretty good at this kind of information processing.” Gates’ own words make it easy to see how a software geek could get inspired by poker. During his college games, Gates made significant profits in his dorm room games - enough to fund some of his initial software start-up ventures. He also says, “The poker strategizing experience would prove helpful when I got into business.” With presidents and business tycoons crediting poker as a way to sharpen their intellects — through the repeated practice of math calculation, risk assessment, psychological insights, and acute observation — it is easy to see how poker skills and strategies can be transferred to the real world of business and political leadership.

For beginners, this is excellent advice since there are so many subtle nuances to learn in poker, so sticking to strong cards eases some of the pressure. If you want to become a poker shark, you need to learn the most basic poker online shark skill: instant recognition. This is the ability to sit down at a poker table and instantly be able to read the other players. You need to be able to tell in a moment how they are going to play, whether they are sharks or fish, and what you can do to make them your online poker prey. You also need to be able to utilize this same skill of instant recognition when someone knew comes to sit at the table that you are already playing at. Actually, this second skill is probably much harder to master because you are already involved with reading a full table. A new player is one more thing to worry about.

The thing about instant poker recognition is that it simply is not possible to be a shark if you can’t read a table quickly. How are you supposed to know where your prey is if you can’t even identity the fish? You need to be able to spot the fish quickly so that a more adept shark does not take advantage of you in your moment of hesitation. None wants that to happen.

Nine players are a lot to keep an eye on. When you’re playing poker online at a 10-handed table, it’s not easy to pay close attention to all of the players at the table. If you sit back, don’t play too often, and don’t talk or be sociable, you might be able to do this pretty well, but chances are no one will like you. When playing online poker, it’s a little easier to keep tabs on players. You can make player notes to help you remember the action. Action is clear and previous hands can be replayed at the click of a button, not to mention the clarity of stack sizes. There are even a slew of programs designed to collect information on how your opponents have been playing.

Again though, in the live atmosphere, this is not the case. You’re relying on your own mental recollection and observation. Sometimes, if you’re playing in a new environment, this is the first encounter you have with all of your 9 opponents.

In this instance it is sometimes appropriate to pick one or two players at the table and make them your targets.

Watch their hands from start to finish. If you see how they began a pot, and watch them play through to a showdown, you will probably have a good idea of how/when you can take a pot away from them. Maybe you will even catch a visual tell because you’re entirely focused on that one person, as opposed to scanning the entire table when the hands are dealt.

After a while, they might notice that you are playing back at them more often than others, so you want to be discrete about your observation gathering. Sometimes this will put them on tilt, which is probably a good thing for you. Frustration makes people to odd things.

So, when you’re overwhelmed by a table full of new online poker opponents, take a look around, pick one player and set a mark on him. Concentrate on how to get his money first, and everyone else’s second.

It’s never a very pretty sightyou have two big poker online cards in your hand, say King/Queen suited or Ace Jack unsuited, and the flop comes down all rags. 4, 5, 8 or thereabouts. For some players it can be tempting, especially in the face of very small bets, to continue to try to draw in the online poker hand, figuring that if the turn or the river brings one of your overcards, you will win the pot. Some players will call even larger sized raises trying to hit one of those six cards that might come against the odds and give them top pair. The thing about drawing with overcards, though, is that you never know, when you do hit your draws, whether or not you actually helped yourself or hurt yourself by picking up a pair on the turn or river. Many times improving your casino hand in these kinds of spots can lead to you valuing your hand just enough to put more in when your opponent, who has slowplayed (or regularly bet) a set, two pair, or bigger pairs like pocket aces. You could just be asking to get your whole bank roll taken from you. Drawing against the odds to try to hit a hand that’s not the nuts, and might not even be good against a wide range of holdings, is often asking for trouble. Though sometimes it may work, and may even turn out to be the best hand unimproved, speculating too often in such a way is bound to in the long run get your broke.

Since you went ahead and purchased comfortable bowling ball and shoes, here’s the second best bowling tip: aiming the ball. While you wait to roll, don’t necessarily roll the ball at the actual pins. Use the notches on the lane like a sling shot. Some greenhorn bowlers don’t even know they’re there. It is easier to aim for a target that is closer. To get the most out of your aim, make sure you stand in the a consistent place 4 steps from the foul line on every attempt. Only then you can adjust your aim using the arrows in the lane.

As for hooks, to achieve their desired pin action? It is our next best piece of bowling advice. They get traction with the their expensive reactive resin balls. Many even semi-pro bowlers carry at least two bowling balls to roll ridiculous pin action, according to many factors. Just a bit of caution: begginers should not try to be fancy, and steer clear of a ball that weighs a ton. Many serious bowlers invest heavily in bowling balls with advanced composite materials. On a Friday night when you have nothing to do, maybe you could go out to the goat cart track and get some racing in. Driving goat carts is kind of like driving race cars, but much smaller and slower, but the imagination can work wonders here. What I like to do is get all dressed up in my race gear and invite my best friend. She is really into racing too and has her own gear. The people at the track look at us kind of strange when we get there, but we make the most out of the experience.

We race every weekend and over the course of the year we have a winner and a loser, and on New Years Eve the loser treats the winner out to a full night of fun. We both really know the race track and the more we go the harder it is to win, we just about tie each and every time. After the goat carting we go out for some pizza, I take Acceletrim so I don’t eat that much pizza, it is high in fat calories. Without this goat carting my life would not be as enjoyable as it is, I really look forward to it and it will be a part of me forever, and soon my kids will be goat carting too.

I was playing a small home poker game with one friend and a few strangers a while ago. I wasn’t getting any playable hands, so I folded often, watching the people that I didn’t know and trying to get a read on them. After a few rounds, I noticed that nobody was betting at all. Out of twenty hands, at least fourteen were checked through the river. As soon as I noticed this, all of my marginal hands seemed a lot more playable.

If you’re at a table where no one seems to feel like betting, feel free to start stealing some blinds. Watch the poker betting patterns, and if people are always checking, put a feeler bet out there, maybe triple or four times the big blind, just to see if anyone wants to play.

Also, if they’re checking around and you’ve got a middle pair or even a draw, take a chance and put a sizeable bet on the table. Most likely everyone is waiting around to draw a hand and they’ll just fold to you.

I started to make calculated bluffs and throw my weight around the table, and before I knew it, I had a hefty poker chip lead. If there isn’t enough action at your table, make some waves and gather up some blind-they add up pretty quickly.

People will try anything to treat acne. I’ve been recommended to steam my face over boiling water to cleanse the pores. Which I later read is a bad idea since heat and humidity actually makes acne worse. In researching the topic, I found a woman who used an egg white mask when she felt pimples coming on. She actually foamed up some egg whites, put them on her face, let them dry, and got on her computer to rave about her fantastic results. So that may work for some, but most people are interested in acne products that produce results.

There are tons of products out there to treat acne. You can get them at the grocery store, but if that’s not cutting it you can always get a prescription from a dermatologist for a stronger dose. Most acne products contain one of four chemicals: benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, sulfur or resorcinol. You can find grocery store products containing any or all of these, and it may take some trial and error to find out which acne products will help you the most. If you go to a dermatologist they may prescribe a stronger solution of benzoyl peroxide or many other treatments including oral antibiotics, oral contraceptives, or accutane.
